Carnegie Training Events
Carnegie will be hosting their next Slate Camp at Goucher College in Baltimore, MD from Tuesday, September 19 to Wednesday, September 20. Held prior to the 2023 NACAC Conference, this program will offer two different tracks: Territory Management and Advancement. During these sessions, attendees from both tracks will develop a fundamental understanding of the following topics through a combination of training content and workshop time: Queries, Events, Portals, Trips, and Voyager.
Can't make it to Slate Camp? Join Carnegie virtually for their next Tiny Training on Using Advanced Exports in Portal held on Wednesday, August 9 from 2:00-4:00 pm ET with another to follow on Tuesday, November 14 from 1:00-3:00 pm ET on Using Liquid Markup.

Rashida Mitchell, Executive Assistant
What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
I grew up very close to my maternal grandparents. The best advice they ever gave me was that it's okay to make mistakes. They always told me no one is perfect. Making mistakes is one of the best ways to learn and grow as a person.
What's a fun fact not many of us know about you?
I grew up in Jamaica for the first 5 years of my life which is known for its great food, reggae music, tropical weather, beautiful beaches, and fastest man (Usain Bolt) in the world. I make sure my family and I still visit a couple of times every year.
What characteristic do you most admire in others?
I am a firm believer that everyone should be treated with the same respect. Having or showing respect is crucial for healthy relationships, whether they are personal or professional. When we respect someone, we recognize their positive qualities and behaviors.
What song is currently stuck in your head?
As a mom of two teenage daughters, it’s very hard not to listen to what they are playing on their devices. Even though I don’t know many songs they play, I really like the song All My Life by Lil Durk and J. Cole. I usually don’t like anything my daughters listen to, mainly because I can't understand it, but this one has stuck with me.
